I love traveling….Why not make a career out of it?

Okay, so it’s pretty obvious by now that I love traveling and love business. My ultimate goal is to combining the two, by pursuing a career international business. So, now a new question arises: What career options do I have?

You just graduated, you now have your M.B.A… Now what?

Luckily, there are several career options available within international business. You can turn your love of travel and business into a career! We put our blood, sweat, and tears–let’s face it, it’s probably 100% tears–into finishing grad school, so we deserve a fulfilling career with extra perks.

In the video, she identifies five of the top job opportunities available to MBA graduates:

International accountant 
 International economist
  Import and export compliance specialist
International banking
Management analyst

In addition, the specific educational requirements and experience requirements of each job is thoroughly explained.  This video provides all the basic information anyone would need who is thinking about going into international business. This video is formatted mainly for students currently pursuing an MBA, which is perfect for myself and many others. 

International Accountant
This job is would be best suited for individuals exhibiting proficiency in accounting and mathematics. International accountants, unlike their domestic counterparts, focus on accounting standards relevant to both U.S. corporations and those in other nations. Since the world is becoming more globalized, it is become even more important for professionals to understand universal accounting language. 

International economist
In order to become an expert in international trade and finance, students should have a fundamental knowledge of economics and international economics. Students with an emphasis in economy are a bonus for this career choice. International economists analyze important trade and financial issues of the international market from a theoretical and empirical perspective. 

Import and export compliant specialist

MBA students with a strong understanding of mathematics, accounting, and trade practices and laws, would be strong candidates for this international business career. Import/export compliant specialists are responsible for coordinating shipments and deals that cross international borders. The main duty of these specialists is to ensure that all international shipments of a corporation adhere to customs regulations

International banking (International bank manager)
Within the subset of international banking, the career tailored best for MBA students is an international bank manager. This occupation requires a strong knowledge of economics, finance, and marketing. As an international bank manager, you are responsible for regulating international banking policies, objectives, and initiatives of the bank and financial institution. 

Management analyst
According to the US bureau of labor statistics, management analysts are specialists that propose ways in which a corporation can improve its efficiency. These analysts often achieve results through reduced costs and increased revenues for the corporations. MBA students considering this career choice should exhibit proficiency in reading comprehension, critical thinking, decision-making, and mathematics. In addition, potential analysts with accounting and economic knowledge are a bonus.
